Update

So we're a little over 29 weeks now, had my 1 hr glucose test..failed it! I took the 3 hr test on Wednesday during the snow storm and I passed! So happy I don't have any issues there. It was a pain with Colton and he turned out fine even when I wasn't completely stringent about it. So there.
28 weeks

In other news, we've switched over to about 95% organic/local food. It's been tough getting some things, like bagels, wraps..non-canned tomatoes (wth!??). I've been getting a lot of meat from the Seacoast Eat Local winter farmer's markets. We also took a ride over to Warner to the Yankee Farmers Market and got a bunch of bison and some chicken too. Another really hard thing to get and find is Lactose Free Organic Milk. My Hannaford got a case, ran out and didn't reorder until I called them. So I have a call into Walmart to see if they'll carry it. Such a hassle. Philbrick's Fresh Market has it but for twice the price of Hannaford, hahaaaa..I don't think so people.Bison

Christmas in two weeks!! We ordered a ham from Lasting Legacy so we'll see how that is and I'll let you know. If I don't get on before, which is most likely...Merry Christmas everyone!

New Comp and 25 weeks

Hi all. So my computer died a week ago tomorrow. I was horrified and lost. Sad, right? I wouldn't know what to do without a computer. I was without one for 4 hours roughly. I borrowed my MILs laptop that night until Saturday. Saturday I was at Walmart at 5:30am waiting in line to get a number for their HP laptop on sale at 8am. I was number 5. Yup, me. This thing is great, except for the battery only lasts three hours (speaking of which I need to plug in..brb). Okay, we have power! I am also waiting for a friend to get my hard drive info over onto my external hard drive. Thank god I had one of those but I didn't back it up regurlay. Blah.

In other news, 25 weeks today and I feel like crap. Colton and I are both sick with nasty head colds and coughs. Not the dreaded Swine flu though, or at least I don't think so. No fevers. I got the shot last Tuesday and h got his first of two last Thursday, so who knows.

No pics, 'cause I haven't gotten my camera out for a bit once I packed up my desktop crap and computer table (bye bye out the door!). Next time..promise.

My Creativeness for the Day..or Month

So today I broke out the ole sewing machine and made a padded changing pad for on the go for the new one. I guess Colton can use it too...maybe...hahaha. I also made 4 PeePee TeePees for a friend's new baby boy(born Sunday!) but stupidly forgot to take a pic of them. Poo. Well here are a couple pics of the pad, hoping it serves it's purpose since I HATE the one that comes in the diaper bag.

Halfway!

20 weeks..yup. I've been having some wild dreams lately too about delivery and whatnot. Nothing bad though! Here's to another 20 weeks, or less I hope!

Ahh Autumn..

How I love Autumn, fall, whatever you want to call it. It may help that I live in NH and the foliage is spectacular. We've gone apple picking twice and pumpkin picking once. Corn mazes are next and then who knows what else! The snow is inevitable though, but I am hoping for a long fall season and my impending growth grows as well. Scary to think in a mere 22 weeks or so we'll have another kid. Wow, sometimes I wonder what I was thinking.

Here's a peak at Colton from our playdate today..Mr. Static Cling. (he was standing under a plastic slide)

16 weeks

16 weeks....cervix looks great. Placenta is way out of the way of said cervix and lo and behold it's another hellion little boy...hmm.

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Ugggh

15 weeks tomorrow. Wow, time is flying by!! And of course I've got the nastiest head cold imaginable. On top of that this kid is causing headaches almost everyday and now the cold too? Ugh.

I have an ultrasound next Wed. to check cervical length, maybe just maybe the tech will peak at baby and see the gender? Who knows..those techs, they are of a certain breed of human. Anyways, the 'big' u/s is 9/30, only 4 weeks from tomorrow. Exciting! Any guesses?

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Almost 9 weeks

So, I've accomplished quite a bit in the last couple of weeks. Sorry, 4 weeks..but who's counting? I had an ultrasound on the 16th to date the bean since the doctor's didn't believe my dating. And guess what? I was exactly right, so there. Today is 8 weeks 6 days. I'll post a pic of the u/s below.

In other news, we moved again, less than a year from the last time. Ugh. Horrible but it's done. I just have to go clean the old place now before Friday. They're forecasting rain today and cool, so maybe? We'll see. Heat wave coming..ick.

Nothing else happening, just cooking a babe and going with the flow of things. My dreaded 27th bday is next Friday. Eek.

Who can really tell what this is and what's what??

Hope everyone is well.
We're apartment hunting again. It sucks.
Colton is addicted to this book. It's super annoying but great too.

Yes I am still here. Just nothing to blog about. Boring. Oh wait, I got a job. Two days a week, 4 hours roughly and Colton gets to come! Yay!!

BellaBand Review

I don't about some people but when I was pregnant with my son two years ago, the belly growing thing was gradual. Now that we're trying for #2, I am sure it will just pop one day as they say and this little thing will come in handy earlier! I got the black Bella Band when I was pregnant and ended up using the thing all the time. Really, no joke.

In the beginning of said belly, the band keeps your pants up..always a nice ting since you can't button them anymore, right? Once you get bigger you can use it to cover your belly for a smoother look. And at the end, well they say it will help with some belly support. Silly me didn't do this...next time! The Bella Band is also great for nursing moms, a nice cover up for when you lift your shirt. So I highly recommend getting one and Mom4Life is great place to get that plus so much more!!

New Stroller

Yay! So I finally broke down and got a new bigger kid umbrella type stroller. Those little flimsy ones are just so tiny and uncomforatble looking.

I ended up getting the Evenflo Xsport at Walmart for 40 bucks. Not back considering how much other ones go for. It goes to 40lbs so I am thinking we'll be using it a long time, he barely hits 25lbs now at age 18 months.
Here's a cute pic I stole from Amazon (who gets 69 for it...hahaha)

New Item in my Etsy Shop...finally..haha

So it only took me forever, but I finished my burp cloths and wash cloths and put them on etsy. I have a ton of material that I need to use. I want to make a baby blanket but the market is flooded so I am stuck. So check it out if you want..they're cute. I use the reject washcloths on my son..they're pretty good in the tub.

Friday Musings

So it's Friday...yup. We went to a Kindermusik class this morning with our playgroup. It was pretty good. Colton seemed to enjoy himself, if not for the music than for the other kids. He doesn't get out all that much but I am hoping that will change as the weather warms up.

Tomorrow we're heading over to Sugarmomma's Maple Farm open house with Nana. Hoping to score some yummy things perhaps. After that Colton and I will be heading north to Madison to see my grandma and grandpa. I haven't seen them since...Christmas, maybe? Too long. So that's that. Rain Sunday, blah!
Oh we also signed Colton up for swimming lessons starting in April..now mommy needs a bathing suit. Yikes!

My giveaway ends tonight too!!

My 1st Review & Giveaway- Hushabye Baby Lullaby Gift Set

Before Colton was born, I knew I wanted to have some sort of music for him to listen to in order to calm down, go to sleep, sleep to, and even just have as background noise. I ended up with a couple of different cd's that were instrumental only, however they never were really used much do to them being bland.

Then I came across Hushabye Baby Lullabies and he has been hooked ever since. These are completely different from the norm. There are four different cds that I received, each are instrumental lullaby renditions of songs from well known country music stars. Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, George Strait and of course, Johnny Cash! In addition to these artists they also have Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and Rascal Flatts.

We've listened to all of the cds and I would have to say Colton mostly enjoys George Strait. He has in fact been listening to it every night since we got them and it does help him get to sleep faster.

The Willie Nelson renditions include the songs 'Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys' and 'On the Road Again'. Colton seems to especially like 'Night Life' with the warm pedal steel and 'boing' noise. My husband recognized the first song ('Mamas, Don't Let ...') from in the other room even!

The Patsy Cline cd is definitely more mellow. It seemed to have a nice calming effect on all of us. A couple of songs included are; 'Crazy', 'Always' and 'Sweet Dreams'.

The George Strait cd is very well done in my opinion as well as my skeptical husband. 'I Cross My Heart' is one song that stands out and is easy recognizable. My son enjoys all of these songs, as stated before. I am thinking of bringing this one in the car even!

Last but not least, Johnny Cash. This iconic singer is well known and Hushabye Baby does an awesome job of rendering the songs into instrumentals. ' Folsom Prison' was well done and quirky in a way. 'I Walk the Line' sadly could have been better it seems, but perhaps that is due to the fact that is a fast song mellowed for a lullabye. Either way, awesome and fun to listen to!

To make it all that much more pleasing, the packaging is super cute with individual animal characters with bios for each cd. Each case also includes a recipe inspired by the musician. And of course, the packaging is 100% recycled. A must for this green world we live in today!

Buy It
You can purchase each cd for $16.98.

WIN IT!!

So, after all of that I am pleased to announce that Hushabye Baby is going to giveaway one gift set which includes 4 cds!! These are as follows:

Totally Talented Tuesday

Colton thinks climbing on top of very high things is super fun!

Monday, March 2, 2009

Ho hum

Another snowy day. I think we got 10 inches last night. Yes, that's right, ten inches. Super fun...not. Got my haircut, I'll post a pic below. I always have short hair...I had it long once back in high school. It was such a hassle. Kudos to you girls with long hair. Oh, funny thing, my hubby prefers long hair. Why the hell did he marry me then? I think he was mistaken in his preferences.

Anyway, there is a really awesome etsy shop (HERE) I stumbled upon through an etsy team I'm in. I am so thinking of getting one to use as a small diaper bag. Right now I use the Eddie Bauer green and tan one, it's ginormous.

oh eBay..

Ebay..you either love it or you hate it. I think I swing both ways from time to time. This month..we love it. I just sold 5 pairs of jeans that I bought for 8 bucks...sold for 95 something. Woohoo baby. Love it. So I bought a belly band (getting my hopes up I guess) and some Avon hand moisturizer (that stuff is great for hubby) and I am watching a ton of things...hehe.

Doctor's Advice

So my dr. just called me. She says they really don't worry about anything until you've been trying for a year. Keep trying in other words. She didn't seem too worried about my luteal phase either. Poo.

C'mon people

So my PCP suggests calling the OB. I did on Friday. I explain that I'm ttc, bbt charting, using opks and that my luteal phase is too short. They come back saying don't bbt chart and only use opks. OBVIOUSLY somone wasn't listening to me. So now it is Tuesday..I call in because no one got back to me about what now and the drs are out. Somone will call me tomorrow. Yea..ook.

New Year..new nothing

Happy New Year everyone! No I didn't stay up and watch the ball drop..I crashed at 11:30. I know, pathetic. Oh well.

Anyways, not much going on here in NH. It's cold, windy, icy and snowy. And the idiotic Woodmaster 4400 hates me. For those of you that don't know what this monster is...it's an outdoor wood stove/furnace. The stupid thing will not stay lit for me. It was fine yesterday for hubby, but today I went out 3 hours after he left, and it's completely out. No coals, nothing. POS

As for baby watch, maybe this month. I started taking vitamin B6 on cycle day 12. We're at day 21, and so far progress looks like 4 days ahead of schedule. Good news!! Will keep you up to date...should know by the 21st.
